When things weren't working out in Denver, two friends decide to make a fresh start and head for Nebraska. Emma's beloved Aunt had left her home and business to her, and little did she know it was all going to be the biggest adventure of her life. This is a story of friendship, family (the good and bad) mystery, adventure, love and romance all rolled up tight into a wonderful vacation for it's readers, carefully tucked between two beautiful covers and narrated by an author that I will surly keep my eye on. I loved her writing style and I hope to read many more books by her in the future. Kudos Jayne Hyatt.

I loved this book!! Can't wait for the next one! )
The only downfall to this book is that it had to end. I absolutely loved the entire book. It had a bit of everything in it - romance, suspense, mystery, and very strong characters.
This book was fantastic. The action kept coming as well as the tender parts. I live in Scottsbluff Nebraska where the book was set and I could follow along where she had the store situated as well as the actual places that she mentioned in the book. Can not wait to see if she brings out a sequel to this story.
This book was like getting two love stories in one! Throw in a great mystery, a bit of paranormal, and a bad guy you love to hate and you've got a happy reader. Jayne Hyatt managed to weave it all together for one enjoyable read.
Anytime a book mixes murder, treasure hunting and a bit of the supernatural, it's a winner! The story is a fun, adventurous ride with four delightful characters. Each of them was well thought out and developed. Hyatt cranks up the thrills when she explores the growing attraction between characters and their emotional angst as they are forced to take a hard look inside themselves. The book slowed down a bit after the attention grabbing opening scene. This was the only reason I gave it 4 stars. However, it picks up again in a big way and kept my attention. Looking forward to the next Jayne Hyatt book.
This is the story of Emma and Georgie, two best friends who find their personal lives in turmoil, and want to make a new start. They decide to move to a small town in Nebraska, thinking it will be a calm and safe environment with little chance for romantic temptation. They are wrong. Almost immediately they find themselves embroiled in a romantic adventure that revolves around an ancient ring that is touched with Celtic magic. They also find themselves involved with two very sexy guys, and wondering what they should do about it.
After a somewhat leisurely beginning that allows the author to fully develop the characters, this book then takes off at breakneck speed as the romance, mystery and danger ramp up to the breaking point. I laughed out loud at some parts, and found myself on the edge of my seat at others, making for a very satisfying experience.
Not many novels are set in Nebraska, not since Willa Cather anyway. This one is and the small town of Scottsbluff comes off as charming, cozy and, surprisingly, dangerous.
Of course, a tornado is de rigeur but the main action involves a little bit of magic and one determined killer. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was sweet and exciting at the same time. When I had to put it down, I looked forward to picking it up again. I liked the characters and cared what happened to them.
I recommend this book
